My campsite is affected by a wildfire. What should I do?

Follow the advice of the campsite management and local authorities. Your safety comes first.

Am I covered?

Yes, if your stay is significantly affected. Vacanceselect Travel will decide if the Calamity Coverage takes place.

Depending on the situation, we may:

• refund unused nights
• reimburse up to 2 hotel nights while you wait to return
• help you rebook to another holiday within our portfolio. We will cover up to 125% of the original night price for the remaining nights.

Can I book a hotel myself?

Yes.
Please keep all receipts. We reimburse up to 2 hotel nights under the Calamity Coverage.

Can I leave early?

Yes.
If you cannot continue your stay because of the calamity, we will refund the unused nights of your accommodation.

Can you rebook my holiday?

We can only rebook to available accommodation within our own portfolio (Eurocamp/Homair/Roan)..

What documents do I need?

Please keep:

• hotel receipts
• written confirmation from the campsite if you leave early (if possible)

I am arriving soon. Is my holiday cancelled?

Not necessarily.
We are closely monitoring the situation with the campsite and local authorities and will contact you if your booking is affected.

What happens if the campsite cannot welcome me?

Depending on the situation, we may offer:

• an alternative holiday
• a rebooking voucher
• a full refund.
   

When can I receive a refund?

If the situation is still preventing your stay within 48 hours before arrival, you may choose a full refund under our Calamity Coverage.

Should I change my booking myself?

No.
Please wait until we contact you with the best available solution.

Can you help me find another holiday?

Yes.
We can help you rebook to another available holiday within our own portfolio (Eurocamp/Homair/Roan).

In your invoice there is a link to the portal in which you can see your reservation. Please click on this link and enter your email address and invoice number. You will then have access to your reservation, view the details and make a payment.

You can access the Customer Portal after your booking has been confirmed, using your booking reference and the email address provided during the reservation. 

In the portal, you can view your booking details, make payments, download your travel documents, update traveller information, add extras, and also cancel your reservation or check the applicable cancellation costs.

You can find our emergency number on your voucher. You will receive your voucher no later than 4 weeks before arrival at the campsite, on the condition that the entire booking amount must be paid. If you make a booking with arrival within 4 weeks before arrival, you will receive your voucher as soon as the full payment has been received.

You have booked an accommodation with us on the campsite of your choice. The accommodation is owned by the campsite or one of our carefully selected partners. On your voucher you can see who, in your case, is the supplier of your accommodation. They are your on-site contact at the campsite and will help you with all your questions. We do not have staff from our company at your disposal on the campsite.

When you did purchase an insurance with your booking this will be shown under Extras as "Cancel and Travel Insurance (Mutuaide Assistance)" on your invoice. You received with your invoice a detailed information packet and PDF from the insurance company with details on what is covered. In this attachment you can also find a link to the page were you can file your claim. Please make sure that you answer all questions and send relevant proof when asked. This will speed up the proces of your claim.

It is important to take out insurance, for example if you are not fit to travel and a doctor advises you not to travel, the insurance will refund the cancellation fee charged by us.
